Circle of Security Parenting

At the Nesting Place, we are all about nurturing your potential to be the kind of parent that you are super proud to be. We don't believe in perfect parenting. We are also not big on 'behaviour management'. We are BIG on connection, relationships and healing intergenerational patterns.

Do you want to be the kind of parent that your child looks back on in 20 years time, and says:

'They weren't perfect, but they had my back'
'I can rely on them to be there for me'
'I can trust them, and share things with them'
'They taught me how to be courageous and try new things, and be the best version of me possible'
'When I felt lost or overwhelmed, I could turn to them, and they knew what I needed, even if I didn't know what I needed'
'I learnt so much from them, and I am now going to do that with my kids'

You see, at Nesting Place, we are all about intergenerational change, and helping you be the kind of parent that we KNOW sets kids up for better mental health, better relationships, and more connection with YOU.

We truly believe that when children are showing us big emotions, they are saying 'I need you, I don't know what it is that I need exactly, but I am inviting you to connect with me, and together we can work this out'. Sometimes these invitations from our children are very hard to understand, and because of our own emotions or our own life journey, we feel very overwhelmed or activated by their needs.

We know that parenting is rewarding and amazing but also HARD and EXHAUSTING, especially if you were not given a template on how to do it from your own family, or if you are desperately trying not to be the kind of parent that your parents were.
At Nesting Place, we draw heavily on Circle of Security Parenting, Attachment Theory, to support you to be the kind of parent who meets your child's needs. We can also help you find ways of regulating your own emotions.

We can work individually or with couples who are looking to complete the Circle of Security Parenting Program.
The program can be delivered across 9 sessions (an initial assessment session + an additional 8 sessions to cover course content). The beauty of doing this individually, is that we can reflect together about your own life experiences which may have shaped your parenting, and reflect on your triggers, or help you to evaluate this as a couple, if you are attending together.
